Trango Broadband Wireless Products Receive Industry Canada Certification

January 27, 2004 - Trango Broadband Wireless, an industry leader in fixed wireless broadband systems, today announced that the company received notification that Industry Canada has approved and authorized several Trango wireless network systems for use in Canada. The wireless network equipment tested and certified by Industry Canada includes the point-to-point TrangoLINK-10™ system, the point-to-multipoint Access5830™ system, and the TrangoFOX™ subscriber unit, all of which are currently available for sale throughout Canada.

"We pursued certification after receiving numerous requests for Trango Broadband products from either WISPs or network administrators in Canada that were searching for an affordable last mile solution," said Chuck Eapen, vice president of international sales at Trango Broadband. "The certification of our products by Industry Canada allows us to provide equipment to these customers that has met or exceeded the government's exacting standards."

With the certification of Trango Broadband products into Canada, the company is currently examining expansion into the region by evaluating distributors and embarking on a marketing campaign aimed specifically at Canadian customers.
