Trango Broadband Announces Successful 900 MHz Customer Deployments

Company Expands Product Line to Include New Point-to-Multipoint Network Systems

May 5, 2004 - Trango Broadband Wireless, an industry leader in the fixed wireless broadband marketplace, announced that its Wireless Internet Service Providers (WISPs) have successfully deployed the new 900 MHz product and they are providing broadband services to their clients. The new M900S series system provides wireless carriers with the flexibility to reach more customers while standardizing on the Trango Broadband platform. The M900S operates in the license-exempt 900 MHz spectrum and is engineered to deliver up to 3 Mbps in Non-Line-of-Sight (NLOS) environments.

"With the addition of the M900S, our customers have the flexibility to operate in environments where there are tree and other foliage obstructions," said Zdravko Divjak, president and CEO of Trango Broadband. "The 900 MHz product has proven with multiple service providers, the viability of providing reliable, low latency broadband service through the trees and thus expanding the addressable market from existing towers and building."

The M900S is the first 900 MHz solution with radio and antenna integrated into a single outdoor unit in the industry. In addition, the M900S provides users with an industry-leading overall system gain of 134 dB - the only system in the 900 MHz market to do so. Access points and subscriber units also offer external antenna options and diversity support to further bolster NLOS performance. M900S features Trango's proprietary SMARTPolling™ technology, rate shifting, and software switchable dual-polarized antennas along with many other advanced features.

The M900S is available and shipping from all of Trango's distributors today.
