"We were using Dragonwave 18 GHz systems for our backbone and we were running out of capacity. It was possible to upgrade the radios from 50 Mbps to 100 Mbps and from 100 Mbps to 200 Mbps, however, the license keys to upgrade the system are extremely expensive."

"We decided instead to replace the Dragonwave radios with new TrangoLINK Apex 18 GHz systems. We selected TrangoLINK Apex for its clear advantages of capacity and cost. Because full capacity upgrades for the Apex are so affordable, it made sense to upgrade capacity now to the full 370 Mbps full duplex, so that we didn't need to worry about upgrading again in the future. We were also able to take advantage of the outstanding 2 year warranty on Trango's licensed equipment."

"We have worked with Trango equipment for over 7 years and we have liked the performance and durability of it. Trango equipment has always been very easy to install and manage, and the TrangoLINK Apex is even easier yet. The RSSI digital LED readout on the radio is the best feature on ANY radio I've used. It made antenna alignment a breeze. All the Apex links installed perfectly. By using the outdoor RSSI LED, we were able to align the dishes in about 5 minutes for each link. We were also able to use smaller dishes (2 feet instead of 2.5 feet) which decreased wind loading on all of our towers and we actually have better signals than with the previous radios, even with the new smaller antennas."

"They have been performing rock solid since installation, even throughout some bad weather conditions like heavy wind and over 12 inches of snow."

"We installed our first production M900S 900 MHz Access Point about three weeks ago. We used an omni directional antenna to help cut down on the initial cost of rolling out 900 MHz. The first customer was one that we had already installed a FOX5800 unit shooting to this same tower. However, since the trees have grown back in, this customer had a poor signal. We replaced the FOX5800 with the M900S and he now has a perfect signal."

"Our plan is to use FOX5800 units when possible, and then fall-back to the M900S if we can't get a solid connection with the 5.8 GHz. We will slowly install the M900S APs on most of the same towers we already have 5.8 GHz equipment, thus ensuring we can connect those customers that we would otherwise have to turn away."

"In our preliminary testing, we were able to acheive 2.3 Mbps of TCP/IP throughput using an omni directional antenna on the AP and going 3.5 miles NLOS. The speed and range of the Trango wireless radios are very impressive and will help Microserv provide broadband service into areas we would otherwise not be able to service."

"For 5 years Microserv has deployed Trango equipment to provide high-speed wireless Internet service to more than 2,500 mostly rural customers. Our entire network is wireless and covers over 25,000 square miles of rural southeastern Idaho. We currently do 80 to 100 new installs per month using all ranges of Trango equipment (900 MHz, 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz). We have been able to deploy customers as far as 25 miles from our nearest tower, thus providing a service that no others could reach."

"Microserv’s success relies on our wireless equipment to be efficient, functional and affordable—Trango gear delivers all of this, which has enabled our business to grow every year. We plan to continue to deploy Trango well into the future and would recommend it for any business needing reliable wireless connectivity."
